Upon recent considerations of potential coastal locations that could form part of my NMP, I decided that the first would be Lytham St Annes.
During this, I was also considering the potential landscapes that this location could provide as a subject. I decided to focus the scale and characteristics of the mud flats within this area, as this was one of its most definitive elements. This provided made for an aesthetically pleasing subject upon a sunny day, lighting different elements of the frame and encouraging a sort of visual harmony for the contrast and colours of the compositions.
I often favoured the landscape that represented that featured other icons or elements to create a sense of scale; nearby houses, sign posts, curvature of the land etc…
Overall, I felt that this was a successful shoot for establishing potential landscape images.
